i-SCOPE project will be present within the Bologna Smart City Exhibition 2013 with a stand by partner Sinergis.

SMART City Exhibition is the new exhibition arising from the partnership between FORUM PA and Bologna Fiere. A 3 days exhibition, from 16th to 18th October 2013 at Fiera di Bologna, characterised by meetings, workshops, and much more. This initiative becomes a must in this particular moment where politics for smart cities is a national and European priority. This will be a place where experts can meet and debate: the aim is building sustainable and far-seeing politics, useful to satisfy citizens’ needs in this particular moment.

NoiseTube, an (mobile &web) app for measuring and monitoring ambient sound levels, currently hosted at the SOftware Languages Lab of the Vrije Univeriteit Brussel, won the 2013 GeoSpatial Award in the category "Most innovative project". It was also nominated in the category "Data Acquisition". The GeoSpatial Awards are an initiative of FLAGIS (Flemish Association for Geographic Information Systems) and AM7FM-GIS Belux.

On May 30th, Federico Prandi from Fondazione GraphiTech will present a paper titled: "Using CityGML to deploy Smart-City services for urban ecosystems" at the forthcoming conference UDMS - Urban Data Management Symposium - which will take place in London.
